Your privacy is important to Access Business Services (ABS) and ABS wants you informed about ABS’s privacy policy and practices, and the security measures implemented to safeguard your information..

Below you will find a statement of ABS’s commitment ensuring the privacy of your personal information and describes the information ABS will collect, use and disclose. 1. What information ABS collects and how we use it

 

ABS gathers, retains and utilizes information about you to operate ABS’s business only to the extent needed to provide the services(s) you request. ABS collects this information through voluntary disclosure. ABS will not collect personally identifiable information about you (such as your name, address, telephone number, social insurance number, or email address) unless you have provided it to ABS voluntarily. ABS shall only use the information for purposes for which it was collected.

 

When you contract or request a service from ABS, you give us information about yourself, which ABS adds to a client file. ABS maintains records for each client/customer, which allows ABS to conduct all the necessary business for the type of service you request.

 

At times, ABS may use third-party suppliers outside ABS to help ABS provide the services you have requested; which may involve sharing some of your personal information. ABS ensures third-party suppliers to maintain the confidentiality of your information by not disclosing or using your information for unauthorized purposes or without your consent.

ABS may store and process personally identifiable information to better understand your needs and how ABS may improve our services. 4. Control of Your Information

 

An individual has the right, upon request, to know what information ABS has about the individual and how ABS uses the information. You have the right to challenge inaccurate information and have it corrected. You always have the option to instruct ABS not to use your name, address, e-mail address, etc. beyond providing you with the product, information or service you requested.

 

Upon request, ABS will inform individuals of the existence, use and disclosure of their personal information and provide access to it. All information is kept for three months in our files unless requested to delete the information sooner.

 

 

5. Your Consent

 

By using ABS’s website or contracting ABS’s services, you consent to the collection and use of your personally identifiable information as described in this Privacy Policy.

 

 

6. Policy on Deleting Information

 

Information that is no longer required for an identifiable purpose or service will be erased, destroyed or rendered anonymous, every three (3) months, unless requested to keep the information longer.

 

ABS will respond to any request you make regarding your personal information within 30 days. If ABS needs to extend that time, or ABS has to refuse your request, ABS will tell you why, in writing, subject to any legal restrictions.

7. Children

 

ABS has no intention of collecting identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen (13). This website and the services offered are not intended for children under the age of 13, and there is no reason to suspect that the website is designed in a manner that would attract such children of any kind whatsoever. 8. Security Measures

 

ABS makes every reasonable effort to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of personal information under our control. ABS’s security policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary.

 

Personal information shall be protected by security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.

 

ABS operates secure data networks protected by industry standard firewall and password protection systems using heightened physical, organizational controls and methods, and electronic safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. ABS safeguards personal information regardless of the format in which it is held; whether it is on paper in a filing cabinet, electronic in a computer or in verbal form.

 

Physical Security Measures

ABS ensures all filing cabinets which contain personal information are locked and certain areas of the office are restricted to the people working there. A security monitored alarm system is used to secure and protect the premises. All paper documents are shredded before being destroyed or disposed of.

 

Technological Controls

ABS uses passwords to access computer systems, which are properly protected using firewalls as well as encryption technology where appropriate. Data files are backed up regularly with backup files stored off-site, in a safety deposit box to guard against loss by fire or theft.

 

Organizational Procedures

ABS limits access to personal information holdings to the people working within the company except in cases of third-party contractors, in which case ABS requires a confidentiality agreement with the third-party or ensures the third-party has privacy policies which protect your privacy information.

 

Marketing

ABS does not use personal information of clients in marketing their services nor does ABS sell client lists for the purpose of marketing.

 

 

9. Conflict Resolution

 

ABS will investigate all privacy complaints received and, where appropriate, take steps to correct ABS’s privacy policies and procedures.

 

ABS makes every effort to ensure privacy policies and procedures remain current with evolving technologies and industry standards. All policies and procedures are reviewed on an annual basis to ensure they remain appropriate and relevant.
