OCR ( Optical Character Recognition) - the process of converting printed documents to text. The OCR process allows the capture of text from printed material (hard copy) into a document file format. The captured file can then be edited or updated to suit your requirements.

Basically any text printed on paper can be scanned into a Word Processor, Spreadsheet or Database file.

 

Some examples of scannable material are:

  • Reports

  • Manuscripts

  • Books

  • Documents

  • Manuals

  • Lists

  • Assignments

  • Contracts

  • Agreements

Or almost any other types of printed material you may have.
All material can be proofread or edited if this service is required.

ABS can also work from faxes if the source material is a good quality print, and your fax machine is capable of sending in "fine" or "extra fine" resolution mode.

Material can be faxed to ABS as a sample for a test scan, and also for a price quote.

Prices depend on the amount of correcting, proofing, formatting desired, and the quality of the text to be scanned.

ABS accepts orders from anywhere in Canada or the United States. Payment is as arranged;
